“Why are you looking at me like that?”
Thranduil cleared his throat, though his awestruck expression didn’t leave his face. “You reminded me of someone.”
Pairing: Thranduil x OC
Summary: An elf is forced into Mirkwood after being tracked by orcs. The king insists that she stay in Mirkwood, despite her arranged marriage.

The elf rode north, orcs at her tail. Astrel looked back, panicked by her situation. She counted at least ten warg-riders at her back, which meant there was no way she’d make it to her destination unscathed. She thought about her options, and she knew if she kept going on her current path, she would hit the Grey Mountains before she could escape them. That meant they would undoubtedly catch her, wargs were much better in that kind of terrain than horses were. She needed to find a path that would restrict the movement of wargs, as outrunning dwarves was much easier on foot. That was when she realized that her only good option was to cut through Mirkwood, and hope that the Greenwood elves would aid her in her time of need.

Pairing: Thranduil x Reader
Prompt: “I wish we could be more than this.”
It was late and almost everyone else was in bed. Not you. You had made your way quietly into the throne room. When you stepped in the king looked up at you and smiled.
“There you are, my dear,” Thranduil said. He held out his hand to you. You walked over and put your hand in his.
“I’m sorry to have kept you waiting,” you said as he kissed your hand ever so tenderly. You smiled sweetly at him and was given a smirk in return before being pulled down onto his lap. You let out a giggle and covered your mouth. Thranduil ran his fingers through your hair.
“Don’t cover up such wonderful sounds my dear,” he said.
“Yes my king,” you said. You glazed at his eyes full of love. He gave you gentle kisses then sighed, resting his forehead upon yours.
“What is wrong?” you asked, playing with his hair.
“I wish we didn’t have to hide. I wish we could be more than this,” he whispered.
“Perhaps someday,” you whispered, “until that day, I have no problem loving you quietly.”
Pairing: Thranduil x wife
Summary: During the scene where the dwarves enter Mirkwood.
Inspired by something I saw with the idea that Thranduil’s wife could be the complete opposite of him.

There was a loud knock on their chamber door, Thranduil swiftly turned to face it. Sileveth sat next to one of the wooden walls, reading an ancient book.
“What causes this disturbance?” He asked without opening the door, or even walking closer to it. His silk voice radiating annoyance.
“Thirteen dwarves have been found in the forest, Legolas and Tauriel are bringing them to the kingdom as we speak. First among them was Thorin, they head towards the Lonely Mountain.” Said a masculine voice through the door, no doubt one of the king’s guard.
The king looked to his wife, she stared back at him. She knew exactly the thoughts which were currently crossing his mind, even without using her gift. She grabbed the lavish gold and green robe which hung only feet away from her and brought it to him. He then placed his crown of red berries and ivory branches gently atop his golden hair.
Imagine returning from battle to an almost empty Mirkwood palace, you look around until you find Thranduil, who is delighted at your return and is eager to hear about the battle you faced.
~
“ Hello? Is anybody here? ” I called as I completed my fourth cycle of searching the palace.
The throne room. I hadn’t checked there yet.
I hopped up the stairs quickly to see Thranduil on his feet and pacing around.
“ My lord, ” I began but I was interrupted.
“ Ah! Y/N my dear, come! I am positively delighted to see you! ” he said, holding his arms aloft.
He gestured to me that I come closer to which I obliged.
“ Is everything alright my Lord? ” I quizzed.
He merely glanced at my bloody armour before producing a grin that spread from cheek to cheek.
“ Of course! Now you have returned you can tell me the toils of your fight. ” he said, clearing the room of the guards but not before he had one fetch a table and chair, two goblets and some wine.

My bare feet padded against the cold, wooden walkways that weaved their way through the realm of Mirkwood, the light clinking of elvish armor accompanying my soft gait as two elves, clad in golden armor, silken hair flowing behind them, led me to the throne room.
